Custom Rods

One of the first steps in creating your custom rod is taking time to learn about the types of fishing you prefer and your experience with other rods. This will help us figure out basics like rod length, action, line weight, and number of sections.

We will also discuss grip style preferences. Sliding band vs. locking reel seat hardware. Blued or bright hardware and some silk wrap color options. Maybe you like highly figured reel seat spacers. Maybe you don't. We'll cover that too.

 

The custom rods I make range from 3 to 7 weights. This range covers the types of fishing readily available to me, allowing me to test these tapers on the water and not just on a lawn.
